Abstract

This research paper explores the intricate relationship between market structure, competitive strategy, and regulatory implications within the context of industrial organization theory. By examining key concepts such as entry barriers, product differentiation, and economies of scale, along with empirical evidence and case studies, we uncover insights into how changes in market structure influence firm behaviour and performance. Additionally, we evaluate the effectiveness of antitrust laws and regulatory interventions in promoting competition and protecting consumer welfare. The implications of our findings extend to managers, policymakers, and academics, offering actionable insights for strategic decision-making, regulatory design, and future research directions. Overall, this paper contributes to a deeper understanding of market dynamics, firm conduct, and regulatory challenges in modern economies.
