Abstract
The primary objective of companies is never detached from profitability, and it is with this in mind that they turn to innovation. But recently, the main reasons for the existence of companies are no longer limited to the search for profit, as social and environmental performance has become a guarantee of any company's image. Corporate Social Responsibility, which brings together all the practices put in place with the aim of respecting the principles of sustainable development, i.e. being economically viable, having a positive impact on society and respecting the environment, is now one of the strategies adopted by companies. But the question that arises is how innovation can improve the RSE effectiveness of Malagasy companies.
Using statistical tests to analyse the results of an opinion poll of a sample of 64 Malagasy companies practising RSE, this research looks at the RSE situation of these companies in order to confirm that innovation makes a positive contribution to the RSE effectiveness of Malagasy companies.
